Have you been denied credit?
You are entitled to one free credit check if you have been denied coverage for insurance or employment within the last 60 days because of information supplied by a credit bureau. The company that you applied to must provide you with the name of the credit bureau that the information came from.
Once you have a copy of your one free credit check you can review all the documentation
for correctness. Ask the credit reporting agency for a dispute form. Complete
it, submitting any mistakes you find on your report. There should be no fee for this. When supplying documents to back up your disputes do not send originals. Always keep originals on file for future reference and send in photocopies with your dispute forms. For
